The Donor Dash is a 5K run/walk to honor the lives of organ and tissue donors, celebrate the lives of organ and tissue recipients, and recognize the lives of those waiting for a lifesaving transplant. Please join the American Transplant Foundation's team as we help Donor Alliance raise awareness about the tremendous need for organ and tissue donation throughout Colorado and Wyoming.

Team Transplant, the American Transplant Foundation's inaugural charity cycling team, had a great day at the 2009 Subaru Elephant Rock Ride on Sunday, June 7th! Team Transplant was the largest team at Elephant Rock with 182 people who cycled 100, 62, 32, 25, or 7 miles to raise awareness about organ and tissue donation. Collectively, Team Transplant members cycled more than 9,300 miles and raised over $35,000!

On May 6th, the Foundation hosted its second cycling seminar at a special pre-opening event for Pizza Republica, the newest restaurant in the DTC. Elite cycling coach Michelle Grainger presented training, cycling, and motivation tips and bike fit analyst Michael Heitz demonstrated a proper bike fit to accommodate body dimensions and to improve technique. Guests were treated to delicious hors d'oeuvres and pizza from the new gourmet eatery.

On April 16th, the American Transplant Foundation was proud to be a part of the re-launch of the Colorado Donor Registry to Donate Life Colorado at the Colorado State Capitol! Through this exciting new initiative, we hope to inspire those who have not made the decision or may have ruled themselves out to Donate Life! The American Transplant Foundation was also instrumental in the passage of Senate Joint Resolution 09-038, which recognizes organ and tissue donors through the observation of Donate Life Colorado Month.

The American Transplant Foundation hosted a special cycling seminar on April 7th at The Denver Athletic Club to introduce Team Transplant, the Foundation's inaugural charity cycling team for the upcoming Elephant Rock Ride. Michael Carter spoke about his career as a former professional European road racer, and two other cycling experts shared training tips with guests.
